Blue Walls.

Tommy Engstrom

You thought the title of this article was Blue Balls, didn't you? You're disgusting. Get your mind out of the gutter... I'm kidding. But really though, you're gross.

This past weekend I enjoyed the slowly improving Chicago weather and went out for a walk around the city with my cousin. If you have ever lived in Chicago, or know anyone who has, you will likely know that we LIVE for the summer. Our excuse for everything is, "Oh, but don't worry. The summers in Chicago really make up for it." Let's put this into perspective:

Situation 1: Your wallet gets stolen on the L and the perpetrator spends $5,000 at Walmart.
A Chicagoans Response: "Oh, but don't worry. The summers in Chicago really make up for it."

Situation 2: The temperature does not break zero for two weeks during January.
A Chicagoans Response: "Oh, but don't worry. The summers in Chicago really make up for it."

Situation 3: You stub your toe early in the morning while trying to get ready for the day.
A Chicagoans Response: "Oh, but don't worry. The summers in Chicago really make up for it."

Seems reasonable enough, right?

Anyways, we stumbled upon this wall of blue and it immediately reminded me of the time I spent in Chef-Chauhan, Morocco. The walls of blue. They are everything. In addition to being obsessed with blue walls, I've developed an insane love to Uniqlo. Their style. Their fabrics choices. I love it all.

Over-Sized Perfection.

Tommy Engstrom

It's official. Let the record show that I have found my favorite outfit. Sure, the colors and fabrics may change, but from an overall look and feel standpoint...I'm obsessed. Give me a nice slim pant, paired with the ever classic Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Low Top, and then finish off the look with a big comfy over-sized sweater.

Per usual, this weekend was cold and rainy in Chicago. Really, should I expect anything less from Mother Nature?

I absolutely love throwing on this over-sized sweater when I am hanging around the apartment, out running errands, or grabbing a quick drink with friends. Classy enough to look put together. Comfortable enough to not regret the outfit choice you made. For me, I'll take a sweater that is over-sized to perfection.

Spring Pastels.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

  1. How is it already April? Seriously, I feel like it was just Christmas and we were talking about how crazy it was that 2017 was almost upon us.
  2. Seriously Mother Nature? Rain? I don't want rain today...

It is true, it is a gloomy rainy day here in Chicago, but this past weekend was incredible. Not too cool. Not too warm. Just the right touch of spring in the air. With each new season comes a new wardrobe and look. When I think spring, I immediately think Easter. Bright clothing. Pastels. Light jackets. The gradual introduction of boat shoes.

I am not quite ready for all of that, but I recently purchased this pink longline t-shirt from Topman and it has me loving the idea of introducing more and more light pastels into my wardrobe. I even got a comment about it this weekend! :)

Oh, and a good watch. A good watching is always the crowing feature of a good outfit. I am all kinds of obsessed with this new Southview Multifunction watch from Timex.
