I feel like I need to be honest with you all. It's something that I've talked to Erik about many times and I'm not really sure what to think. What do I do? Is it something that I worry about? Or do I continue living my life this way? When all is said and done, I don't know what my personal style is. Is it Americana? What about preppy or hipster? I love comfortable athletic-wear.
Erik has us update our bios recently and I honestly did not know what to write in regards to my style. Is this a bad thing though? In my humble opinion, no, not at all. The way I look at style - I like taking a little bit of everything and making it my own. I love Levi's Commuters because they are comfortable, durable, and stylish. Pendleton has always been one of my favorite brands. There is something so classic about their designs and sits. I love it. And then Vans - yup, I love a good Vans. Especially when Erik custom acid washes them and makes them the talk of the streets in Chicago.
So, for the foreseeable future, I am going to continue rocking new modern pieces from Levi's and Vans, and pair them with the undeniably classic pieces from Pendleton.
A special thanks to Pendleton for partnering with The American Swede on this post.
