HOME for the Holidays.

opinions and thoughts are always mine.

The Christmas tree is up, stockings are hung over the fireplace, mistletoe is ready, & Justin Bieber’s Christmas album is on repeat.

I can’t believe I’ve lived in Illinois for almost 4 months now. I wrapped up my first semester of seminary, got to travel for some photo work, and have enjoyed Chicagoland food. I forgot how good restaurants in Chicago are!

It’s crazy to think that now that I’m back in Illinois, the phrase ‘home for the holidays’ really has a new meaning. Traveling hours to see family isn’t really a thought anymore. I’m home. Family is here. Memories are here. And it’s just the beginning. While I’ve been out of the state for so long, I’m learning how to make this place feel like home again.

This winter, I teamed up Oxford Pennant. They design retro designed pennants that make you feel like you’re in Animal House. They’re American made, so you know that I appreciate that! The product truly is quality. I’m a little obsessed with the elegant yet vintage aesthetic of the brand. The vibes are real.

All honesty, I’m not fully unpacked from the move and not yet fully organized. But hanging the pennant in my new room next to my Sanborn paddles may give me motivation to finish the job.

Thanks Oxford for helping me make Chicago my home again.
