"You're the Northern Wind sending shivers down my spine."
Dallas Green a.k.a. City & Colour
I have to start off by talking about that quote. I love City & Colour - they are one of my all time favorite groups. If you have the opportunity to see them, you seriously need to do everything in your power to take it. If you already have plans, cancel them. If you are sick, suck it up. If you're not sure you like their music, go anyways and see the light.
Songs to check out:
Hello I'm in Delaware
Lover Come Back
Ahhh! I want to see them! I'm serious... Someone buy me tickets. I want to go. No, I need to go.
So, speaking of Seattle...
What an awful transition.
One of my favorite things about Seattle is the atmosphere and environment. You are in a city, yet it doesn't feel like it because you are so close to the woods and the mountains. You feel a tension, a good tension, it's like you get the best of both worlds. Thanks Miley. It's amazing to be able to stand on a pier and look out at an abundant amount of water. Mountains on the horizon. Birds flying in the sky. It makes you feel so small and humbles you. And then with a simple turn, you are immersed in the hustle and bustle of city life.
West Coast fashion, specifically Pacific Northwest fashion, is simple. Simple colors, simple lines, simple living. I love it. Don't get me wrong, I love my fair share of patterns, but there is something so classic and effortless about the simplicity of the fashion there. Wake up, blindly grab a shirt from your dresser, grab some trousers and trainers. It is easy. It is not overthought. It is comfortable.
