I hate when I think I'm buying organic vegetables and when I get
home I discover they're just regular donuts.
Okay, never mind. That may be the greatest feeling in the world.
The Chicago Donut Scene. Goodness gracious I think I just gained 15 pounds just thinking about all of the incredible options at my disposal in my city. Dunkin Donuts (gross), The Donut Vault, Glazed & Infused, Do-Rite Donuts, Firecakes.
If I ever get my own TV show on the Food Network it is going to be called, How to Eat as Many Donuts as Possible While Running Around Chicago Looking Like a BAMF. Really though, donuts and fashion. Is there any better combination? I think I would be hard pressed trying to come up with a better alternative.
So in the sake of time, and the fact that I am content with the duos I am currently faced with, I am going to stick to donuts and fashion. A lemon pistachio old fashioned donut. A traditional glazed donut. A large bold coffee. Praise the Lord in Heaven above.
Urban Outfitters has been one of my go-to shops for clothes in recent years. Sure, sometimes their hipster styles can be a little over the top. But more often than not I am able to find classic staples that stand the test of time - a simple graphic tee from Calvin Klein, a bold jacket from Starter, and a pair of slim fitting chinos from Hawkings McGill.
Lately I've been leaning to more monochromatic outfits with pops of color. I love the look of these neutral pants against the stark look of the black at white. What do you think of this look? Let me know in the comments below.
