“My whole theory of writing I can sum up in one sentence. An author ought to write for the youth of his own generation, the critics of the next, and the schoolmasters of ever afterward.”
― F. Scott Fitzgerald
Ask me my favorite book and I would answer without even a thought. The Great Gatsby. It has been my favorite since I first read it freshman year of high school. For a number of reasons, this novel has stood the test of time and held isn't place as one of the great American novels.
For the month of June I've decided to tackle On Booze, a short collection of drunken debaucheries. I am thrilled to experience Fitzgerald's writing outside of The Great Gatsby. If On Booze is even remotely close to the masterpiece that was The Great Gatsby, I know I will not be disappointed. If you want, go out and buy your own copy, pour yourself a bourbon and read along with me!
Here is Erik's review of May's book, 'Life is.'
"Judah's writing is easy, comical, and joyful. Gives practical
ways to look at life and how to live. Life truly is... about love.
Pick it up for a good read"
