I have officially gotten my first sunburn of the year. Praise the Lord, Hallelujah, spring is upon us! Yes, my face is a little crispy. Yes, it is sore to the touch. Yes, I am putting on layers upon layers of aloe vera. But it's worth it. The burn will turn into a bronze after a day or two anyways. Just me...
I am so beyond excited to be able to throw on a pair of shorts and a short sleeve button down, slip into a pair of TOMS, and run to Green City Market to pick up some fresh produce. I always thought that fall was my favorite time of the year, but I am starting to rethink that logic. Don't get my wrong, I love the colors and all. The fall scents are pretty incredible too. But I think I am starting to dig spring and summer just a tad more...
I've done some mad internet shopping this weekend (window shopping, for the time being...) and I am even more excited for the warm months to come.
Colorblocking may not be a recent trend, JT has been doing it since The 20/20 Experience hit the airwaves. But it's a trend that I love and this short sleeve Oxford is perfect for a Chicago Spring. Short sleeved. Light weight. Accents of bright colors. What more could you ask for?
TOMS, in my humble opinion, are an absolute must for spring and summer. Light weight. Versatile. More colors and patterns than you knew was humanly possible. I'm a sucker for classics though; a neutral grey will go with just about any outfit you pair them with.
