Welcome to the season of gingerbread lattes, warm woolen mittens, carolers singing, and family time, lots and lots of family time.
My general rule of thumb when it comes to Christmas music is to refuse listening to it until the day after Thanksgiving. America rushes the holidays too quickly. I want to be able to enjoy Halloween (even though I hate Halloween), then Thanksgiving, and finally Christmas. Can't we just accept that each are separate holidays and should be given a properly amount of time to be celebrated?
Now that we are within the appropriate timeframe to celebrate Christmas, I have taken it full force. Silver tinsel Christmas tree. Scented pinecones. Christmas music on repeat. Holiday wardrobe choices. It's all happening.
If you're anything like me, you put off buying Christmas gifts. Until this year. Things are different this year - I am making an honest attempt to have everything purchased before December 15th. Why the 15th? I don't know, it just seemed like a reasonable date.
