"The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera"
Best class ever: Studio photography.
Each week I get to play around and experiment with my photography skills in a studio. In control of everything. I'm loving it. And you better believe I'm using it for my own personal photography in addition to the list of educational assignments I have to complete.
Growing and experimenting with my control of light, dark, structure, composition has been so challenging and rewarding. It's brought so much more wisdom and insight to my photography outside of the studio. All of this knew found knowledge is a huge perk, don't get me wrong, but I am so grateful for the opportunity to use all the equipment. FOR FREE! Praise baby Jesus!
Maybe I'm falling into the pit of fads and trends, but there is nothing better than a simple white background. Crisp and clean. I'm a little obsessed. Throw on a greyscale outfit. Maybe add a few shades to my attire. Really create a contrast. And I'm content.
I will admit, I'm self-timing all of these shots. No one wants to wake up at 5 in the morning and spend 3 hours in the studio. I do. But no one else.
